The Eclosion Process
Submit a project
How to start Our job is to help you evaluate and realise the potential of your innovation. If you have an innovative life sciences project, contact us for help with defining
Send us an application We don’t need a long document with fancy graphics or a business plan: if you think your innovation has potential, simply send us a non-confidential description of its results, published and otherwise, so that we can assess whether it matches our objectives. Based on this, we’ll decide whether we want to be involved, and may ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement before we begin discussions with you. We support projects during the startup phase. We’re less interested in whether you’ve already set up the company and in the detailed scientific background: what matters to us is the innovation and its potential. | ![]() |

The selection process

Objectifs retenus | Description |
Analyse applications (1 to 3 months) | Stage A We work with you to determine, as quickly as possible, your innovation’s potential for success based on the complex development process involved in this industry. If this potential exists, we move to stage B. |
Detailed evaluation of application, with a view to drawing up a project plan (3 to 12 months) | Stage B We carry out a more detailed analysis of the project’s development potential based on therapeutic, manufacturing, regulatory and commercial considerations. This phase involves a large number of experts. If it is successful, we draw up a realistic development plan enabling you to achieve your objectives. |
Experimental evaluation of the technology/product (averages 1 to 2 years; varies a great deal) | Stage C You begin the therapeutic proof of principle phase, using equipment and other resources provided by us. If this is successful, we’ll help you to launch the startup. |
Where the project is not selected, provide guidance on other possible sources of help | Stage D If we don’t believe your project fits our objectives, we’ll try to put you in touch with other bodies that may be able to help. |
