Epithelix provides innovative R&D solutions for the study of human diseases and for toxicity testing of chemicals, while reducing animal experimentations.

The company develops, produces and sells in vitro reconstituted human tissues. Epithelix also offers services of high-throughput screening and testing of chemicals, based on its unique in vitro cell models, to research laboratories and chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

The first product commercialized by Epithelix is a model of human respiratory epithelium (Mucilair). Due to its exceptional shelf life (one year), Mucilair is currently the only in vitro model available for long-term toxicology testing.

The technology developed by Epithelix was rewarded by the Naef price. Its business model was awarded a Venture 2006 prize (among the 4 laureats).
